6. Report from the Diocesan Finance
Council Meeting given by Sr. Barbara Marie...
....there was much discussion on the
money $50,000 requested for a diocesan campus ministry study; after the
discussion it was accepted;
....also discussed, was the request of
the Bishop to form a task force to prioritize the "unfunded" requests;
... the budget was passed.
7. The following sisters are also
leaving the diocese this summer: Sr. Michele Lezon, SU, Sr. Irene Breslin, SU,
and Sr. Carmel Hamilton, FCJ
8. Jubilee 2007 ... date will be "the
second Sat. of February" each year; in 2007, that date is Feb. 10th.
It will be celebrated with a 11 a.m.
liturgy at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

9. Sr. Mary Therese will solicit
information for the NC Catholic from the Jubilarians.
10. Because we were disappointed with
the coverage of the Jubilee in this year's NC Catholic, Sr. Barbara Marie will
contact Mr. Reese to find out what we need to do in order to get better coverage
next year.
11. A copy of the summary of the survey
done by the Lay Ecclesial Ministers was distributed for consideration.
12. We wondered if the three surveys ...
Priests, Council of Religious, and Lay Ecclesial Ministers...were going to be
compiled into a single document. Fr. McGee affirmed that that was true. When it
is completed we will send you a copy.
13. A letter will be sent from the
Council in the near future to tell you about the future plans we have and to
invite you to join us.
14. The next meeting of the Council will
be on Aug. 25th ... time will be set later.
