     Excused: Srs. Margaret, Shirley

C.   Change in minutes of last meeting .. put guests separate from Council in attendance

D.   Process for Agenda … to facilitate meetings, agenda items should be submitted at least one week before a meeting. If non-Council members are coming with agenda items, these should be submitted also.        

E.   Planning for the September overnight …

1)    Reservations … Mary Jean

5)    Saturday liturgy with the Bishop … Joanna

F.    Vocations … general discussion included many ideas; September overnite will be used to surface names of those “already” in Religious Communities for recognition; consider this item for discussion with Bishop Burbidge in terms of what roles he sees for women religious in our diocese; look at a way to form a discernment group(Joanna will follow-up with info from Sr. Margaret Harig, SND who has done this); possible use of the Internet for contact purposes; etc.  After the September overnite we hope to be able to take some definite steps.

G.  Communications …

• Sr. Attracta .. thank you for Jubilee

• Sr. Lois, Mary Ann, Mary, Joanna … thank you for assistance with pilgrimage money

• Joan Troy, Music director at CGHS … donation of $250 from the proceeds of “Nunsense”. Money will be given to CRS: $125 for Myanmar and $125 for China relief. Thank you will be sent to Joan and the cast

H.   Support for immigrants … Council of Churches initiative letter will be emailed to all sisters for their signature.

I.      Sisters Directory … copies will be included in the “Welcome Packet” along with a sheet for correction requests. Directory is no longer available on the website. It was removed for security reasons.

J.     Jubilee 2009 … Feb. 7

          40 - Sr. Anne Heath

          50 – Sr. Carol Loughney

          60 – Sr. Marion McGillicuddy

          60 -  Sr. Gerry Megel

    … question was raised about re-locating the Jubilee celebration to a place that is handicap accessible and less costly. We already have contracts for 2009. This will be looked at again for 2010.
